Contract | Mid Shift (10:30 AM – 11:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients
• Manage and monitor patients presenting with common diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Administer and titrate required drips and medications including vasopressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, and sedation agents
• Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun as needed
• Provide care to all assigned patients, including SANE patients, in accordance with facility expectations
• Float to other units as required; Charge Nurse capability highly preferred

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (verified through NURSYS)
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric (PEDS) experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; candidates residing within 75 miles may be considered at a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting
• Experience caring for psychiatric patients and managing CDU (Clinical Decision Unit) patients
• Familiarity with block scheduling in a high-acuity ED environment
• Experience with SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) patient care
