Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and persistent Multi-Craft Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment in our liquid dye manufacturing facility . This role involves hands-on mechanical, electrical, and automation work on equipment such as large mixers, bead mills, and liquid pumps . The ideal candidate brings ingenuity , problem-solving ability , and a strong safety mindset , along with the determination to work in a challenging, dirty industrial environment . Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Replace bearings, motors, seals, and gearboxes on large rotating equipment.
• Maintain and service liquid pumps , bead mills , mixers, conveyors, and other process machinery.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliable operation.
• Diagnose and repair issues in automation systems , including PLCs, sensors, and VFDs.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Apply and follow all plant safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) , confined space entry, and hot work safety.
• Assist in keeping detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and part usage.
• Assist with new equipment installation and modifications.
• Welding and light fabrication experience (MIG, TIG, stick, torch) is a plus.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of multi-craft industrial maintenance experience (chemical or liquid processing preferred).
• Proficient in changing bearings and maintaining rotating/process equipment.
• Basic to intermediate skills in automation and control systems .
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently and persistently.
• Demonstrated ingenuity and resourcefulness in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Comfortable working in a very dirty , hot , and odorous industrial environment .
• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Welding/fabrication experience and familiarity with safety compliance are highly desirable.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Regular exposure to strong chemical odors , elevated temperatures , and dirty, greasy, or stained surfaces .
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing, kneeling, and working in tight spaces.
• Willingness to work in environments that require PPE and strict safety compliance.
