Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer Contractor to support enterprise infrastructure, security, and modernization initiatives within a Microsoft-centric environment. This role will focus on Microsoft 365 administration, Azure/Entra ID, cybersecurity engineering, automation, and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in strategic projects such as DMARC implementation through Proofpoint EFD and Microsoft Copilot governance and automation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security, efficiency, and operational performance.

Location: St. Paul, MN

Pay Range: $65-$70/hr on W2

What's the Job?

• Design, implement, and support Microsoft infrastructure solutions, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID environments.
• Lead and support security initiatives, including DMARC implementation, email security enhancements, and identity/access management controls.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell and Microsoft Power Platform to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
• Manage and optimize endpoint and cloud security technologies, including Microsoft Defender and CrowdStrike.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders on infrastructure modernization, Microsoft Copilot governance, and enterprise technology projects.

What's Needed?

• Strong experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID environments.
• Hands-on expertise with cybersecurity tools and platforms, including Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, and email security solutions.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation using Microsoft Power Platform.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, infrastructure architecture, and systems administration.
• Experience supporting cloud transformation, infrastructure modernization, governance, and security-focused initiatives in enterprise environments.
