Registered Nurse

This position requires working 3x12 hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, but may change based on need. The medication system utilized is Omnicell. The documentation system in use is EPIC. A minimum of 1 year experience in the Emergency Department is mandated. First-time travelers will be reviewed based on skill and experience. Floating to other units may be required based on need. Charge experience is preferred. Patient ratios are typically 4:1. Charting system experience with EPIC is required. Experience with community hospitals is preferred. Additional certifications include ACLS, BLS, CPI, MAB, NIHSS, PALS, with TNCC being preferred. Key skills include management of abdominal pain, acute psychosis, and arterial line management. Candidates should have experience in various emergency conditions such as asthma, drug overdose, head injury, and stroke. This role requires the ability to triage and manage patients in critical condition. Knowledge of isolation precautions and care of ventilated patients is necessary. Candidates should be able to carry out procedures such as intubation and phlebotomy. Staff may be required to float to other units and perform tasks for which they have demonstrated competencies. Modules for additional training may be required and are billable. Staff will be expected to maintain the highest standards of patient care. Travelers must be eligible based on distance requirements.
