Toogie's Table is hiring for a Bartender!

Summary:

Mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests at the bar and in the restaurant. Helping guests be aware of and choose menu items, taking orders, and making guests feel taken care of during their visit/experience. Front-of-house staff is friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and works in a professional manner resulting in a very high level of guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate genuine hospitality during every interaction with our guests; including greeting guests, taking food and beverage orders, answering questions, thanking guests, and inviting them to return upon their departure.
• Welcoming guests, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preference, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
• Abide by all State and Federal Liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Attend pre-shift meeting to review/communicate information regarding service, VIPs, and Specials.
• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Handling cash and credit card transactions.
• Record drink orders accurately into POS system.
• Maintaining a clean working environment, cleaning bar, tables, washing glasses, and equipment.
• Prepare the following before and during service; fruit, syrups, garnishes, glassware, bar equipment, and all other preparation tasks instructed by Beverage Manager, FOH Manager or General Manager.
• Respond promptly to guest requests in a polite and professional manner.
• Upsell drink and food items at the bar.
• Arrange glasses and bottles into an attractive and functional display.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or instructed by management.
• Answer guest questions about food and beverage preparation details and communicate specific guest needs to the kitchen and bar.
• Consistent productivity
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of standard drink recipes.
• 1 Year of Restaurant Bartending Experience.
• 1 Year of customer service experience.
