LPN or RN Wound Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and state regulations.
- Complete wound treatments for residents in a skilled nursing facility.
- Implement and monitor resident care plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate resident conditions.
- Follow and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Coordinate with wound care providers.
- Oversee nursing staff wound treatments.
- Provide resident-specific wound care and wound prevention education to CNAs and nurses.
- Administer medications and complete documentation.
- Oversee resident care and implement resident schedules.
- LPN or RN license in the state of MO
- Some wound care experience preferred.
- WCC or WOCN certification preferred but not required.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
