We are looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team in Claymont, Delaware. In this vital role, you will assist in preparing the operating room, maintain a sterile environment, and support the surgical team during various procedures. Your skills and attention to detail will help ensure successful outcomes and contribute to the safety and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain a sterile field during surgeries and assist the surgical team by passing instruments and materials
• Perform surgical counts before, during, and after procedures to ensure instruments are accounted for
• Assist with patient positioning and prepping the surgical area
• Clean and restock the operating room following each surgery
• Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment
• Accurately document surgical counts and patient information in the medical records
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room procedures
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
