Surgical Pathologist

Surgical Pathologist Aliso Viejo, CAThe Surgical Pathologist, Pharma Services provides pathology support for clinical trials and pharmaceutical programs, with a focus on case review, diagnostic interpretation, case sign-out, and validation activities. This role works closely with project managers, laboratory teams, and clients to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality pathology services.Job ResponsibilitiesReview and sign out clinical trial pathology cases.Interpret biopsy, resection, and cytology specimens.Review and interpret laboratory and pathology data.Support assay and clinical trial validation activities.Collaborate with Project Managers to address study and client needs.Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.Assist laboratory staff with pathology-related case issues.Communicate with clients and referring physicians as needed.Support development and implementation of new diagnostic and biomarker testing services.Maintain high standards for quality, turnaround time, and client service.Job Requirements / QualificationsM.D. or D.O. degree required.Board certified or board eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology strongly preferred.Two or more years of attending-level surgical pathology experience preferred.Active, unrestricted California medical license required.Additional licenses in Florida, New York, and/or Texas are a plus.Ability to meet CLIA '88 requirements, as applicable.Strong diagnostic, communication, and collaboration skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory systems.
