Position Summary What You’ll Do Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying them in business processes and practices. Operate forklift following company standards and guidelines to safely pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets. Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback. Receive stocks and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility, managing inventory flow, following company policy and procedures for utilizing equipment, merchandising, working inventory exceptions, correcting shelf capacities, and completing and retaining required paperwork, logs, and other documentation. Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, providing guidance and support regarding self‑service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services. Maintain the safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following steel standard guidelines, and correcting and reporting unsafe situations to management. Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation in accordance with company policies and procedures: properly zone the area, stock and rotate merchandise, remove damaged or out‑of‑date goods, set up cleaning and organizing product displays, maintain modular integrity, receive, sort, stage, and deliver merchandise, ensure prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise, process defective merchandise following sanitation and food safety practices, and monitor shrink, security risks, and safety. Ensure club pick‑up orders are filled accurately by assisting with picking, staging, ensuring products selected and staged per policy, ensuring merchandising associates pick orders within acceptable timeframe and are staged properly, and performing occasional audits for accuracy. Handle inventory: move and display goods safely, track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, control shrinkage timely, report poor inventory practices and low in‑stock levels, and use inventory tools and equipment safely. Operate and maintain forklifts safely; report poor or unsafe conditions; inform management if forklifts are not in working order. Proactively identify customers who need help, actively engage them, and assist with technology services and items; model and help others with technology services. Identify shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas and take steps to fix the problem; correctly maintain equipment and ensure products are organized and stocked in correct ways while promptly fixing any problems. Qualifications 90 days of prior experience with forklift certification. Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks. Must be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications Customer service experience. Retail experience. Experience supervising a team. Compensation The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00. Additional premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
