The Analyst independently develops and implements system enhancements, resolves complex issues, and ensures accurate and compliant system performance.This position requires advanced expertise in financial aid systems and regulatory frameworks, contributing to system reliability, data integrity, and operational efficiency in a high-risk, compliance-driven environment.What you will be doing in this positionAdvanced System Configuration & Solution DevelopmentDesigns, configures, and maintains financial aid and scholarship system functionality across the full aid lifecycleDevelops complex packaging strategies, queries, and processing logic supporting awarding, disbursement, and reconciliationBuilds and maintains system controls to ensure data integrity, compliance, and audit readinessImplements system enhancements and configuration changes based on regulatory and business requirementsTroubleshoots and resolves complex system issues, including data discrepancies and processing failuresRegulatory Translation & Compliance SupportAdvises Financial Aid leadership on system readiness, implementation risks, and operational impacts associated with regulatory or policy changes .Interprets federal Title IV regulations and translates requirements into system configuration and processing rulesSupports annual aid-year setup, including testing, validation, and deployment of regulatory updatesExecutes testing strategies to ensure system compliance and accuracyIdentifies potential compliance risks within system processes and recommends mitigation strategiesSystems Integration & Technical CollaborationCollaborates with OIT and campus partners to design, test, and implement system integrationsSupports data exchange processes with federal systems (e.g., COD, NSLDS, CPS/SAIG), ensuring accuracy and reliabilityAssists in evaluating system capabilities and recommending technical solutions to meet evolving business needsContributes to system documentation and technical standardsProcess Improvement & Operational SupportIdentifies opportunities to improve system efficiency, automation, and user experienceDevelops solutions to reduce manual intervention and streamline workflowsSupports cross-functional initiatives to improve financial aid deliveryDevelops documentation and training materials for system processes and changesProvides guidance to staff on system functionality and issue resolutionSupports onboarding and continuous learning within the teamWhat qualifies you for this roleEducation/ExperienceMinimum R equired: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience in financial aid systems, student information systems, or a related technical/functional role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred: Master’s degree and 5 years’ experience in financial aid systems, student information systems, or a related technical/functional role or an equivalent combination of education and experienceSkills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certificationsR equired:Strong customer service and student-centered approachEffective communication and documentation skillsHigh attention to detail and data accuracyProject management or system design skillsCommitment to federal compliance and institutional policyCreativity, willingness to innovate and develop effective solutionsTeam player committed to collaborative successTraining and presentation skillsOwnership and follow-through on assignmentsInitiative and proactive mindsetProficiency in Microsoft Excel (including functions and pivot tables)Functional understanding of programming concepts and languagesAttention to detail and big-picture thinkingStrong research, evaluation, and decision-making skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize across multiple projectsSolid organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated experience configuring systems, managing data processes, and supporting complex business operationsPreferred:Experience with system design or project managementAbility to conduct manual and automated software testingFamiliarity with HTMLExperience in training and onboarding new usersTechnical experience with student information systemsExperience with SQL, data querying, or reporting toolsProficiency with system configuration, aid-year rollover, query development, and packaging strategiesWhat we offer in return:This position comes with fantastic benefits , including:401k.
