TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Asheville, North Carolina, 28801!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 09:00-21:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Trauma experience Pediatric experience NIH Stroke Scale experience Ventilator monitoring Description: This position is in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. The unit has a total of 40 beds. Patient ratios are 1:2. There is unit staffing support with a healthcare unit coordinator available during the day and four patient care technicians scheduled each day. Patient care technicians can perform tasks such as drawing labs, conducting catheterizations, and transporting patients. The unit is equipped with standard PACU equipment. Documentation is done using a specified electronic system. Nursing staff will work on a six-week schedule with three on-call shifts required within that timeframe. Floating to other areas within peri-anesthesia, including Endoscopy, PreOp, and Phase II, may be required. The unit observes specific guidelines and policies. Certifications required for this role include BLS, ACLS, and PALS. The dress code is surgical green or navy scrubs. This position offers opportunities to work with new equipment and technology. The team consists of experienced staff members who have a strong tenure in this specialty. Flexible scheduling options may also be available.
