We are seeking an Experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic team in Springfield, IL. If you have a keen eye for detail, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Responsibilities- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior carpenters and apprentices.
- Experience with electrical, Hvac, plumming is a plus - but not required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
