DT-Trak Consulting, Inc. -------------------------------------------------------- POSITION OVERVIEW DT-Trak Consulting, Inc. is a federally contracted, Native American-owned healthcare staffing firm (SBA 8(a) | GSA FSS 621I) seeking a dually board-certified Psychiatrist to support behavioral health services for the Navajo Nation at Four Corners Regional Health Center (FCRHC), Red Mesa, Arizona. This is a part-time, 1099 independent contractor position with no weekend, holiday, or on-call obligations. Services may be delivered in person and/or via telepsychiatry (Webex). Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Pay Rate: $240 - $265/hour (based on experience)
Location: Four Corners Regional Health Center, Red Mesa, AZ 86514
Schedule: ~4 days per month | Monday - Friday | No call, no weekends
Contract Period: July 15, 2026 - July 14, 2027
Total Hours: 480 hours (base year) -------------------------------------------------------- DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide outpatient general and child & adolescent psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individualized treatment planning
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in accordance with established IHS clinical standards
- Consult with medical and mental health staff regarding the assessment and treatment of individual patients and broader behavioral health concerns
- Document all patient encounters in the FCRHC Electronic Health Record (EHR) using IHS Mental Health templates; all documentation must be completed prior to the end of each shift
- Provide telepsychiatry services via Webex as needed between scheduled in-person days
- Maintain availability by phone on weekdays to address urgent patient matters with existing patients
- Participate in quality assurance review through the FCRHC quality assurance committee
- Adhere to HIPAA, Privacy Act, IHS Code of Conduct, and all Shiprock Service Unit policies and procedures
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with interpreters for non-English-speaking patients -------------------------------------------------------- WORK SCHEDULE - Minimum 4 days per month at FCRHC Mental Health Services Department
- Clinic hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Clinic hours: Wednesday - 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM
- Clinic is closed on federal holidays
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call responsibility
- 30 days advance notice required for planned leave -------------------------------------------------------- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education & Certification
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) in General Psychiatry
- Board certification by ABPN in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (both certifications required) Licensure
- Full, permanent, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, Washington D.C., or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
- Federal DEA registration number (required)
- U.S. citizenship (required) Experience
- Demonstrated experience providing telepsychiatry services Credentialing Standards (IHS)
- Full and unrestricted license in all states in which licenses are held
- No history of adverse Medical Staff Action (censure or revocation of privileges)
- No criminal arrests or convictions
- No medical board censure related to opioid use, misuse, or sexual misconduct
- No early termination from a prior locums assignment due to behavioral or quality of care concerns Background & Onboarding
- Must successfully complete IHS Level I and Level II background investigations
- FBI National Criminal History Check (fingerprint) required prior to start
- HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card required for facility access
- REAL ID-compliant identification required for facility entry
- IdenTrust authentication token required for narcotic prescribing in IHS EHR (obtained via hidglobal.com prior to onboarding)
- Completion of mandatory IHS orientation, IT systems training, and child protection training within 30 days of onboarding Immunization Requirements
- Documented immunity to Rubella, Mumps, and Measles (MMR)
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination
- History of varicella (chickenpox) or positive titer
- Tetanus Diphtheria (Td) within the past 5 years
- TB Mantoux skin test (PPD) within the past 12 months
