Position – Maintenance Manager
Location: Georgetown, TX (GTU)
Compensation: $94k-$100k, based on experience
Relocation assistance is available for this position.
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the inspection, repair, maintenance, and return-to-service activities for AeroGuard-owned and/or operated aircraft.
The Maintenance Manager will perform or supervise aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company procedures, approved technical data, and AeroGuard inspection procedures manuals. This position will work closely with the Director of Maintenance to ensure aircraft remain safe, serviceable, and compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform or supervise inspections, routine servicing, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, repairs, and return-to-service activities on company aircraft.
Ensure maintenance activities are completed in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and approved technical data.
Ensure maintenance records and supporting documentation are completed accurately and in accordance with AeroGuard inspection procedures manuals for qualifying aircraft.
Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance to ensure company aircraft remain compliant with applicable federal regulations and company requirements.
Supervise, support, and provide direction to assigned maintenance personnel.
Ensure maintenance personnel receive the appropriate training for the level of work being performed.
Provide or coordinate general safety training, including training related to available firefighting and emergency equipment.
Ensure required technical data is current, accurate, and readily available to maintenance personnel.
Ensure required tooling and equipment are available, serviceable, and properly calibrated when applicable.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized hangar and shop environment.
Ensure periodic inspections of fire and safety equipment are completed to verify serviceability and adequacy.
Maintain an appropriate supply of approved aircraft parts to support timely aircraft repairs and servicing.
Monitor parts inventory to minimize aircraft downtime while avoiding unnecessary stockpiling or financial strain.
Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly evaluated, corrected, documented, and returned to service.
Identify existing or potential maintenance problems and develop appropriate corrective solutions.
Coordinate maintenance priorities according to aircraft availability, operational requirements, and client needs.
Operate applicable shop equipment, tools, vehicles, and aircraft as required.
Maintain a basic set of hand tools necessary to perform standard servicing and maintenance on general aviation aircraft.
Maintain accurate and complete maintenance, inspection, inventory, training, and safety documentation.
Perform work in hangar, ramp, office, and outdoor aircraft maintenance environments.
Travel out of state when required.
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The Maintenance Manager may delegate duties and responsibilities to qualified company personnel. Delegation of individual tasks does not relieve the Maintenance Manager of overall responsibility for the maintenance operation.

Summary of Education, Experience and Certification
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid FAA-issued Airframe and Powerplant certificate in good standing required.
Minimum of five years of general aviation maintenance experience required.
Previous Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Mechanic, or comparable leadership experience preferred.
Experience working in a flight school or high-utilization general aviation maintenance environment preferred.
Basic set of hand tools required to perform standard general aviation aircraft servicing and maintenance.
Valid driver's license may be required based on operational responsibilities.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of general aviation aircraft inspection, maintenance, repair, servicing, and return-to-service practices.
Strong understanding of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
Ability to perform or supervise preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance.
Ability to independently identify maintenance problems and implement appropriate solutions.
Ability to inspect aircraft and determine the appropriate corrective action.
Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, inspection procedures manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, parts catalogs, and other approved technical data.
Ability to maintain accurate aircraft maintenance records and supporting documentation.
Ability to supervise, train, and provide direction to maintenance personnel.
Ability to ensure maintenance personnel are properly trained for assigned work.
Ability to manage maintenance workflow and adjust priorities according to operational requirements.
Ability to manage aircraft parts inventory while balancing availability, cost, and aircraft downtime.
Knowledge of aircraft tooling, equipment calibration, hangar safety, and fire-safety requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team-building skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain extreme attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-changing maintenance environment.
Ability to identify more efficient methods of completing work while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
Ability to travel out of state when required.
Schedule
Full-time position.
Schedule will be based on aircraft maintenance and operational requirements.
Flexibility to work varying hours, weekends, or additional hours may be required.
Some out-of-state travel may be required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
The employee will work in hangar, ramp, shop, office, and outdoor aircraft maintenance environments. The position may involve exposure to aircraft, flight training devices, shop equipment, tools, solvents, aviation fluids, noise, and changing weather conditions.
This position requires the use of and interaction with the types of aircraft incorporated into AeroGuard Flight Training Center programs.
The employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, and work in various physical positions.
The employee must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
