Staff Accountant

Riesel, TX Area
$65,000–$70,000 annually, depending on experience

Crouch Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced  Staff Accountant for a well-established company in the Riesel, TX area.

This position is responsible for supporting the organization’s day-to-day accounting functions and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a busy office environment.

Because this position works with sensitive financial and company information, discretion and confidentiality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting duties and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
• Code invoices and ensure expenses are assigned to the appropriate accounts.
• Set up new accounts as needed.
• Reconcile accounts and assist with monthly closing procedures.
• Prepare and run financial and management reports.
• Record and review a variety of financial transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts, verify deposits, and research discrepancies.
• Process and verify accounts payable invoices and payments.
• Assist outside auditors by gathering requested account information, reports, and supporting documentation for annual audits.
• Prepare and/or file required federal, state, and local tax forms.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation.
• Assist management with accounting-related questions and reporting needs.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience required .
• Property management accounting experience is a plus.

Compensation

Starting salary: $65,000–$70,000 annually, based on experience.

The position also includes the following retention/signing bonuses:

• $500 bonus after 90 days
• $1,000 bonus after 6 months
• Additional $1,500 bonus after 1 year
