Database Specialist Support Staff - DAXKO

Position Summary

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The DAXKO/System Support person has a high level of attention to detail and is responsible for assisting the Association Director of Membership in the development and implementation of best practices for the management of the Membership database and report generation for team leaders.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work in cooperation with Association Director of Membership to identify efficiencies and support program set up, rate changes, adjustment coding, discount groups, and other workflow processes.
• Identify and provide reports for membership and program leaders as directed.
• Support integration with YMCA of Southwest Florida’s website and mobile applications.
• Provide support and training in the use of the application when needed.
• Help to troubleshoot and resolve application and database-related problems, including resetting passwords and user profile updates.
• Escalate issues that require immediate resolution to the DAXKO support team.
• Consult with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues related to DAXKO product, and consult with users to determine preferred hardware, software, or system functional specifications.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in an administrative, clerical, data entry, or technical support role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience entering, updating, and maintaining information in databases or business software systems.
• Strong attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
• Basic computer troubleshooting skills and ability to assist others with routine software and system questions.
• Ability to generate standard reports, organize information, and identify data discrepancies.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to assist staff with varying levels of technical experience.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established data security procedures.
• Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and recognize when issues require additional technical assistance.
• Willingness and ability to learn new software applications and system processes.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Associate degree or additional coursework in business administration, information technology, or a related field.
• Experience using DAXKO Operations, DAXKO Engage, or similar membership management software.
• Experience supporting database users, including password resets, account updates, and basic troubleshooting.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.
• Experience in a nonprofit, membership-based, or customer service organization.
• Experience assisting with software training, documenting procedures, or providing administrative support to multiple departments.
