Systems Engineer IV

To support the development of a new data and AI platform for federal background investigations, the remote contract Systems Engineer IV will design and build the data architecture, implement infrastructure-as-code, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Key responsibilities Design and establish the organization's data and AI platform, including architecture and storage solutions Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and develop CI/CD pipelines for data workloads Establish data governance and manage the ingestion, transformation, and pipeline layers for analysis-ready data products Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience 8-10 years of experience in data engineering or data platform engineering, with a focus on building data platforms from scratch Proficiency in Python and SQL, along with hands-on experience with cloud providers (Azure preferred) Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD for data workloads Active U.S. citizenship is required
