Job Summary Principal Trainer
- Schedule & Location
- Workdays: Monday Friday, with some evenings and weekends required
- Work Schedule: Variable hours
- Work Location: Hybrid (onsite at multiple locations including The Embarcadero, Parnassus, Mission Bay, Laurel Heights, Oakland/Emeryville, Mt. Zion, Stanyan, Hyde, and with community partners; variable onsite requirements)
- Qualifications
- 3 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare information technology, computer science, or related field (or equivalent combination of experience/training)
- Epic Cupid certification required
- Technical & Professional Skills
- In-depth knowledge of 1 2 clinical application specialty areas (especially Epic Cupid)
- Broad understanding of system design, development, testing, implementation, user support, training, maintenance, and quality assurance
- Strong analytical skills for documentation, reporting, testing, system performance analysis, and producing substantive reports
- Ability to research and resolve complex issues that may cross multiple applications and operational departments
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to convey technical information clearly to all user levels
- Effective interpersonal skills for training, support, and collaborative work with users at all professional and technical levels
- Ability to work with challenging or resistant end users
- Problem-Solving & Organizational Skills
- Strong problem-resolution skills; able to quickly diagnose and resolve issues
- Ability to distinguish between build and training issues
- Document and communicate system issues for follow-up by build analysts
- Proven organizational skills; able to prioritize tasks, manage time, and ensure project completion by deadlines
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Serves as a technical resource for senior staff and managers
- Provides advice on functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance
- Refers major issues (e.g., multi-user impact, patient safety, compliance, workflow changes) to supervisor or governance as needed
- Other Requirements
- Ability to work at multiple sites and travel as needed
- No background check or drug screen required for this position
