Job Description: Join a renowned neuroscience unit as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse specializing in neuro procedures. This 13-week contract places you on 12-hour night shifts working in a dedicated team focused on pre- and post-operative cranial and spinal surgery patients. You’ll manage patients with lumbar drains and surgical drains, ensuring their comfort and safety without handling titratable drips (except Heparin). The role offers a chance to hone your neuro nursing skills in a Magnet & Teaching Hospital setting, with a focus on continuous patient monitoring and collaboration with a specialized team. Flexibility within scope allows for floating as needed, while the unique neuro-centric environment promises experiences beyond standard med-surg nursing. Weather: The weather around this time of year typically offers mild to warm temperatures with occasional brief rain showers. It’s a season suited to outdoor activities, with comfortable days and cooler evenings, creating a pleasant environment for both work and leisure.
