Field Service Technician

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment and major systems, including engines, electric motors, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, steering, electrical, and lifting systems Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, failure analysis, and basic welding Secure equipment properly and follow OSHA, DOT, and company requirements Maintain a clean work area and participate in the Safety First culture Maintain needed parts and supplies Complete service documentation on time Continue technical training and certifications Provide reliable service to help customers restore equipment operation Requirements High school diploma or GED Valid driver’s license At least 1 year of forklift repair or related mechanical experience Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Working knowledge of material handling equipment Certification on at least 50% of the company product line is expected Clear communication skills, dependable follow-through, and willingness to learn and grow Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 75 pounds Ability to participate in an on-call schedule as needed Mechanical/trade school and Hyster-Yale technician certifications are preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills in diagnosing and repairing material handling equipment, while adhering to safety standards and maintaining service documentation.
