About the Facility – Sakakawea Medical Center SMC serves Dunn, Mercer and Oliver counties, and is located in the heart of rural Mercer County and housed in the City of Hazen. SMC consists of a critical access hospital (licensed for 13 beds) and a 34-bed licensed basic care facility. The medical center is a community-owned, not-for-profit organization and is governed by a volunteer board of directors. Any money remaining after expenses have been paid is reinvested back into the community to support local healthcare and education.

CT Tech - Responsibilities

• CT Tech shall provide diagnostic imaging CT services in Radiography in a competent and professional manner assigned by the Supervisor of Medical Imaging Services.
• Provide services at dates and times assigned by the Supervisor of Diagnostic Imaging Services.
• May encompass out-patient, inpatient, urgent care, and emergency room departments.
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, such as CT examinations.
• Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced.
• CT Tech works closely with radiologists and the physicians who interpret medical images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
• Perform proper radiologic CT examinations for images to be interpreted correctly by the radiologist.
• Deliver appropriate and timely imaging services in accordance with the Standards of Care established by the recognized diagnostic imaging department and in accordance with the policies and procedures.
• CT Tech is responsible for completing clinical reports and correspondence concerning patients under his/her care in a timely fashion.

CT Tech - Requirements

• Academic degree from an accredited Radiology Educational Program (Radiology).
• Minimum of six (6) months experience in Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Digital Radiology).
• Current North Dakota Rad/CT license.
• Current ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiology.
• Current BLS certification.
