As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Unit in Palmetto, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will contribute to a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable approach while responding to routine security-related concerns across the property.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and reporting security-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site procedures, while assisting with directions, information, and general support for visitors and staff.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be willing and able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
