We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to lead vehicle and equipment operations in Sanford, Florida. This role is responsible for keeping the fleet reliable, compliant, and cost-effective while supporting day-to-day business needs. The ideal candidate brings strong operational judgment, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to turn performance data into practical improvements.

Responsibilities:
• Direct daily fleet activities for company-owned and leased vehicles and equipment to ensure dependable service and operational readiness.
• Establish and refine fleet procedures, standards, and workflows that improve efficiency, consistency, and cost control.
• Oversee vehicle life-cycle planning, including acquisitions, assignments, renewals, disposals, registrations, and title documentation.
• Maintain complete fleet records covering inspections, repair history, licensing, utilization, and operating expenses.
• Lead preventive maintenance efforts and coordinate repair scheduling with vendors and internal teams to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Monitor vehicle condition, fuel usage, maintenance spending, and telematics data to identify trends and recommend performance improvements.
• Ensure adherence to transportation laws, licensing rules, insurance requirements, and applicable safety and environmental standards.
• Manage vendor partnerships with service providers, fuel suppliers, leasing partners, and equipment vendors, including pricing and contract discussions.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and operational reports for leadership, using KPI analysis to guide decisions on utilization, cost, and fleet performance.• 5+ years of experience in fleet management, transportation, logistics, equipment management, or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of transportation compliance obligations, fleet safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience overseeing maintenance programs, vendor performance, and fleet-related budgeting.
• Proficiency with fleet management platforms, telematics tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to analyze operating data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Clear communication and leadership capabilities, with experience working across operational teams and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
