Lead Maintenance Technician Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite Pay: Competitive hourly rate + commission Take the Lead in Keeping Communities At CAF Management, Lead Maintenance Technicians are trusted to keep our apartment communities safe, functional, and in top condition. You’ll take the lead on repairs, preventative maintenance, and service requests—while guiding and mentoring the maintenance team. This is the ideal role for a skilled technician ready to take ownership of a property and grow into a leadership role. What You’ll Do Lead and perform daily maintenance operations including service requests, unit turns, and inspections Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues Ensure the property meets safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal standards Order and manage parts and supply inventory within budget Train and support Assistant Maintenance Technicians Coordinate vendor work and supervise contracted repairs Participate in the on-call rotation and handle emergency maintenance situations Communicate with the Property Manager to align maintenance efforts with community goals What You’ll Need to Succeed Required 2+ years of hands‑on maintenance experience in multifamily or related field Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and carpentry Ability to lead a team and work independently Availability to work Saturdays (closed Sundays) and participate in on‑call rotation Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation EPA Certification Preferred CPO Certification Experience using Entrata or similar property management software Bilingual abilities What You’ll Get CAF offers one of the most competitive benefits packages in the industry—because we believe when we take care of you, you can take care of everything else.
