Travel Pre-Op/Phase II Recovery RN - $1,735 per week

Job Summary We are seeking a travel nurse RN Preoperative for a 13‑week contract in San Antonio, Texas. The role requires a 40‑hour work week with four 10‑hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional variable hours. Responsibilities Perform pre‑operative assessments and prepare patients for surgery. Monitor patients during the post‑anesthesia care phase, ensuring safety and comfort. Administer medications, including pain management, as directed by the physician. Provide education and support to patients and families regarding surgical procedures and recovery. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care. Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Required Experience & Qualifications Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses are not accepted). At least 2 years of hospital or travel experience in a surgical nursing setting. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Experience in Pre‑op and Phase II recovery preferred. IV skills and familiarity with Meditech documentation system advantageous.
