At Treat Play Love, we dig into what’s actually in the bowl, carry brands you won’t find everywhere, and help customers make thoughtful choices for their pets’ long-term health. It’s work we care about—and we have a good time doing it. We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that. You may be the next pet nutrition specialist if: You love to do a deep dive into everything for your pet before you buy it. You believe spoiling your pet is more about what is in their bowl for their long term health than what pretty clothes they have on. You are comfortable saying “I don’t know, but I will find out.” You love talking to people about their pets’ health (you’re a Golden Retriever). You show up on time, admit your mistakes, and take initiative to complete tasks without being told to do so. What the job actually looks like: Learning a lot about pet nutrition and relaying that information to customers to help them with their pets. There is a LOT of product education with this position. You will need to learn a lot and retain a lot. It’s NOT playing with puppies. If you want to play with puppies, rescue organizations are always looking for volunteers. Lifting heavy bags and standing for long periods of time. This is a physical job. Stocking shelves, receiving orders, keeping the store looking great. This includes pushing a broom and other light cleaning duties. Handling “gross” body parts. Dogs and cats are carnivores and one quick look at this store shows that. Cleaning the self‑serve dog wash room after every bath. What we are looking for: A real love for animals and what makes them live their best lives possible. A willingness to keep learning. Reliability and a strong sense of personal responsibility. The true belief in keeping small, independent stores alive and thriving in our communities.
