About this position Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Jobseekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, child support, and real estate, and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations. Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 Plus bonus Responsibilities: Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action Qualifications: Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background About Company Dads.Law is a father's rights law firm with one mission: to make sure good dads are never alone in a family court system that wasn't built for them.
