Job Summary As a Nursing Professional Development Specialist, you’ll innovate tools, theories, and expertise to enhance the specialty. You will work alone and with others to create, implement, and assess development plans. Your goal is to improve workflows, patient outcomes, and uphold professional standards in practice. Essential Functions Of The Role Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify team members’ learning needs, anticipate trends, and address potential issues using a systematic approach. Identify, verify, and document professional practice gaps and outcomes in a structured manner to facilitate the education planning process. Develop, implement, and evaluate educational projects for employees of all career levels using research, theories, and experiences. Work with stakeholders, utilize resources to plan and implement lifelong learning activities for people or groups. Assess nursing practices with others. Ensure alignment with priorities and mission. Earnestly participate in and help others with professional role development, role transitions within practice, and succession planning. Act as a key influencer in promoting inter-professional learning, professional development, and practice transformations within the organization. Promote scientific research and evidence-based practices through managing and sharing findings within local and national communities. Incorporate ethics into educational program management, considering factors related to privacy, security, and confidentiality. Key Success Factors You have a demonstrable understanding of nursing and patient care protocols. You’re knowledgeable about relevant legal rules and regulations, along with standards established by certification and accreditation bodies. You know medical language and practices for promoting health, reducing risks, managing patient care, and preventing disease. You have a profound respect for patient privacy rights and uphold professional nursing ethics. You have an adaptable teaching methodology that caters to diverse learning styles. Your communication skills are impeccable, whether you’re speaking or writing. You have an innate knack for positive interactions with a wide spectrum of people. Qualifications Master's degree. Have at least 3 years of relevant experience. Be a Registered Nurse (RN).
