Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Plant and Landscape Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and be able to help customers with any questions they might have. This role involves hands-on gardening tasks, customer interaction, and sales support in a retail environment. The Plant and Landscape Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our gardens while providing exceptional service to our customers, helping maintain the plants on the lot, and creating beautiful displays to inspire customers.

Responsibilities

Some weekend days will be required but not every weekend.
Assist customers with plant selection, providing expert advice on care and maintenance.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Operate cash registers and POS systems for processing customer transactions.
Handle cash with accuracy and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
Help maintain inventory levels by communicating with other locations.
Engage in sales activities by promoting products and services to customers.
Help maintain various plants, flowers, and shrubs according to seasonal requirements.

Experience

Experience and knowledge in gardening, landscaping, or plants in general is required however professional experience is not if you have the knowledge.
Familiarity with retail math for managing sales transactions effectively.
Knowledge of lawn care practices and plant care techniques is advantageous.
Experience with cash registers, POS systems, or e-commerce platforms is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Sales experience is beneficial for promoting products within the gardening sector.
