Radiology Technologist

Location: Asheville, NC

General Information: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in a fast-paced imaging department. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and be committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 800
• Staffing: Varies by shift; typically 34 full-time equivalents (FTE) in a 24-hour period
• Staff Composition:
• Day Shift: 16 Technologists and a supervisor
• Evening Shift: 10 Technologists, 2 Student Technologists, and a supervisor
• Night Shift: 4 Technologists and a supervisor
• Patient Ratios: Not applicable
• Equipment: GE Rad Rooms, Portable GE and Shiatzu units, C-arms OEC, O-arms Medtronics
• Electronic Medical Record: Cerner Rad Net

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic imaging including portable, trauma, and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Provide support during surgical procedures as needed.
• Ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in patient care.

• Portable Imaging
• Trauma Imaging
• Fluoroscopic Procedures
• Surgical Imaging

Qualifications:

• Required Experience: 2+ years in diagnostic radiology
• Required Certifications: ARRT (R)
• Skills Required:
• Competency in all areas of diagnostic radiology
• Experience with emergency department trauma imaging
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience with fluoroscopic procedures

Personality Fit: The ideal candidate should be a team player who can also work independently. A self-motivated individual will excel in this role.

Work Schedule: This position requires flexibility to work weekends and participate in a rotation as needed.
