Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized respiratory care to patients in a high-acuity hospital setting, ensuring effective ventilator and airway management. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care and maintain safe respiratory practices.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies according to physician orders and patient needs.
• Monitor and operate advanced ventilator equipment, including Hamilton G5/C1/T1, V60, and Vyair Avea.
• Assess patient respiratory status and adjust treatments to optimize outcomes.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the EMR system.
• Respond promptly to emergencies involving airway or ventilator issues.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment use.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current state license as a Respiratory Therapist (RT).
• Possess a minimum of 1-year recent acute care hospital experience as an RRT.
• Maintain BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech EMR system.
• Have experience with ventilator management, airway management, and pediatric/neonatal intensive care is preferred.
• Exhibit energetic, team-oriented, and honest personality traits.
