Details 36-bed Med/Tele unit within a Level II trauma, comprehensive stroke, and Magnet-designated hospital Day shift RN-to-patient ratio of 1:5/6; night shift ratio of 1:6/7 Uses Cerner EMR and Cerner Patient Observation (CPO) system with medical remote telemetry monitoring Equipped with VC150 monitors and workstations on wheels in every patient room Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM over a 13-week assignment Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday count as weekend shifts on nights) May float to sister Med-Surg units including 3W, 5W, and K8 Requirements Active RN license, NC or compact, required BLS certification required CMSRN certification encouraged Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Tele nursing experience required NIH Stroke Certification required for Telemetry RNs No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required Additional Information Prepare patients for Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology (IR), and OR procedures Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment alongside a large nursing staff of 50 Dress code requires navy blue top and bottom, white top with navy bottom, or all-white scrubs Facility maintains a 50-mile radius rule; local candidates are not accepted with no exceptions American Traveler Job ID P-748764.
