Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its insurance defense litigation practice. This role involves handling a variety of defense matters and provides the opportunity to take on an active trial role in a fast-paced litigation environment. The position is suited for an attorney who can manage cases independently and contribute to a growing litigation team. Duties Handle insurance defense litigation matters from initial filing through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents Conduct legal research and develop case strategies Participate in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations Manage a caseload and ensure compliance with deadlines and court requirements Communicate with clients and provide updates on case progress Collaborate with team members on litigation strategy Requirements At least 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense Ability to manage cases independently in a fast-paced environment Experience in defense matters such as premises liability, construction defect-related claims, personal injury, or professional liability is preferred Strong interest in trial work and courtroom advocacy Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of cases Education and Certifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active membership in the New Jersey State Bar Skills Strong litigation and courtroom advocacy skills Legal research and writing proficiency Analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and negotiation skills Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters Ability to work independently and collaboratively Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage Retirement savings plan Paid time off and holidays professional development opportunities Collaborative and supportive work environment Opportunity for growth within a litigation practice #J-18808-Ljbffr
