Director of FP&A (Commercial Finance)

Position Overview The Director, FP&A (Commercial) is a key member of the Finance team and serves as the finance business partner to the Commercial organization. You'll help manage the company's planning processes, and work cross-functionally to ensure accurate revenue, trade and margin projections. The role also leads the team's most significant financial modeling work and partners closely with Accounting on month-end close. Responsibilities Serve as the FP&A business partner to the Commercial organization across retail and distributor customers. Lead annual planning, forecasting, and performance management processes across the organization. Own the long-range plan and integrated financial model, and support board materials and key strategic initiatives. Provide actionable financial insights that support commercial, operational, and strategic decision-making. Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities, risks, and drivers impacting results. Plan and analyze trade spend, pricing, and promotional ROI. Analyze profitability and cost-to-serve by customer and SKU. Partner with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain on S&OP, translating demand forecasts into financial plans. Develop executive reporting packages and KPI frameworks, including depletions, velocity, and distribution. Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, reporting processes, and financial visibility. Manage and develop direct reports (FP&A team members). Requirements 8+ years of FP&A experience, including 2+ years in commercial or sales finance in consumer-facing CPG company. Working knowledge of trade spend, deductions and syndicated data (e.g., SPINS, Nielsen, Circana). Strong understanding of financial statements and US GAAP. Advanced financial modeling skills, with the ability to build models from the ground up in Excel or planning tools. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; ERP experience a plus. Comfort using AI tools to improve workflows and efficiency. A collaborative, solution-oriented partner who can manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
