Step into an impactful contract opportunity as an Inclusion Specialist, serving as a vital resource for students across multiple grade levels in a supportive educational environment near Torrance, CA. In this dynamic, itinerant role, you’ll work approximately 30 hours a week with a group of exceptional learners, helping to shape inclusive practices and foster student success.

You’ll provide specialized support to two students in a K-8 setting downtown and four additional students across high school (9th and 10th grade), elementary (8th and 4th grade) classrooms. Your expertise in special education will be invaluable as you implement and adapt curriculum, deliver 1:1 instruction, and collaborate closely with staff to ensure each student's unique needs are met.

Key qualifications & experience:

• Valid credential in Special Education (mild/moderate or other relevant area)
• Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, with strong skills in inclusion practices
• Experience with curriculum modification and adapting instructional strategies for students with diverse learning needs
• Ability to work independently and itinerantly across multiple school sites
• Familiarity with LAUSD SELPA guidelines and processes
• Experience using welligent is a substantial plus

• Providing direct 1:1 and small group support for students with special needs
• Collaborating with general education teachers to foster inclusive classroom environments
• Modifying curriculum and instructional materials to support individualized education plans
• Monitoring and reporting student progress, partnering closely with parents and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensuring best practices in compliance with relevant policies and guidelines
