Job ID : J1025-2178 Job Type : Permanent Full Time Title : Sr. Network Administrator Category : Infrastructure/Cloud Location : Radford, Virginia, United States Job Description CGI Federal is looking for a Sr. Network Administrator to support a program for the Army's PL ALTESS contract. The role will support IT services and infrastructure across data centers and commercial clouds within a mixed environment that includes Windows Server 2019/2022, SQL 2019, Windows 11, VMware 7.x, Oracle Linux 8x-9x, and Oracle Operating Systems. The position is located in Radford, VA. Responsibilities Self‑managed responsibilities in a mixed environment, supporting functional teams and customers. Design, implement, document, and maintain complex networking solutions across multiple locations. Lead strategy for managing, maintaining, deploying, troubleshooting, and supporting networks for customer environments. Plan, execute, and implement new network implementations. Create and maintain technical instructions, operating procedures, and policies. Monitor and tune system and network performance, including ongoing operation, hardening, and reporting of security and operational status. Recommend and implement improvements to the enterprise, manage new hardware and software integrations, and provide utilization reports. Support the lifecycle of vendor equipment in datacenters, including firmware version control and preventive maintenance. Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to expand, upgrade, and increase efficiency. Maintain excellent communication and teamwork skills. Required Qualifications CompTIA Security+. Valid Computing Environment (CE) certification (e.g., MCSE, Server+, CCNA, RedHat, Palo). – can be waived for 30 days after project start. DOD Secret Security Clearance. Experience in Computer Science or IT. Three or more years of experience designing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining complex networking solutions. Three or more years of experience configuring, updating, maintaining, administering, and migrating Palo Alto Firewalls. Three or more years of experience with Network Management, Analysis, and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Palo Alto Panorama, Men & Mice, etc. Five or more years of experience configuring, maintaining, and administering Cisco technologies: Nexus (9K, 7K, 5K, 2K), Catalyst switches, ASR & ISR routers, and Firepower. Three years’ experience or working knowledge of Software‑Defined Networking. Three or more years of experience creating, maintaining, and following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution. Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be a team player. Desired Qualifications (Non‑essential) Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience. Three or more years in automation and scripting with Python, Perl, TCL, or Ansible. Experience supporting cybersecurity patch management and security technical implementation guides (STIG), SRG, RMF, SCA‑V, and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA). Compensation A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $113,400.00 – $251,100.00. Benefits Competitive compensation.
