Registered Nurse - Telemetry - Per Diem Days

Schedule: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit and guides patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel. This role includes the responsibility for communicating with physicians about patient conditions, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and responding quickly to changes in patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care in accordance with established standards.
• Conduct assessments and develop appropriate care plans for patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Educate patients and their families regarding care and health management.
• Coordinate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care.
• Float to Med/Surg and Telemetry as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate.
• Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate.
• Minimum 1 year previous Acute Care hospital experience.
• Meditech EMR experience preferred.
