Medical Malpractice Litigation Secretary

Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a well-established law firm to identify an experienced Medical Malpractice Litigation Secretary. This role offers the opportunity to support attorneys handling complex medical malpractice matters in a fast-paced and collaborative legal environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide litigation support from case inception through trial and resolution.
• Prepare, revise, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Maintain and organize case files, medical records, and litigation materials.
• Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, depositions, hearings, and client meetings.
• Coordinate with clients, medical experts, witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
• Assist with time entry, billing support, and administrative tasks.
• Prepare trial exhibits, binders, and witness materials, and provide support during trial proceedings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation secretary experience, including significant experience in medical malpractice litigation.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court filings, and legal document preparation.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and medical records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain strict confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume law firm environment.
• Knowledge of state and federal e-filing procedures.
• Experience with medical record retrieval and management.
• Legal Secretary certification is a plus.
