Registered Nurse

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) at the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center, a skilled nursing facility that cares for Kentucky’s veterans. Our mission is to serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. Location: 100 Veterans Drive, Wilmore, KY 40390 USA. Responsibilities Performs nursing duties under the direction of a physician. Performs medical treatments and administers medications as prescribed. Collects assessment data and cares for our veterans within the scope of the RN clinical skills. Supervises other clinical staff in administering care to the residents and documents essential information. Special Requirements (Age, Licensure, Regulation, etc.): Must be licensed in Kentucky as a registered nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Working Conditions Work is typically performed in a hospital or institutional setting. May be exposed to hazards common in hospitals or institutional settings which requires the following of safety procedures.
