Substitute Janitor/Custodian

Position Responsibilities:

• Support campus administration, faculty, staff, and students
• Receive oral and written orders from building administrator
• Performs work according to stand procedures and by building operational schedule
• Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs
• Performs painting and touch-up painting
• Empties waste baskets
• Replaces light bulbs
• Sets up and tears down chairs, tables, and equipment for meetings
• Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures
• Additional duties may be required
• Work in a manner that reflects the character of Jesus
• Walk in humility – a servant leader

Requirements:

• Agrees with Cascade Christian Schools' Statement of Faith and Teaching Statements
• Is a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Ability to move consistently for up to eight hours per day
• Prior job-related experience in custodial procedures and building maintenance with increasing levels of responsibility
• Skills to operate standard custodial equipment
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations related to the handling of cleaning supplies and chemicals
• Superior customer service and relational skills
• Ability to perform prolonged physical activity, including standing, reaching, lifting up to fifty pounds, handling, and fingering
• Able to work independently and understand and carry out oral and written instructions
• Flexible schedule: This position will require some weekend work
• Willing to complete Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance, CPR, and first aid training
• Agrees with Cascade Christian Schools' Statement of Faith and Teaching Statements

Salary Range: $18.00-$18.25 Per Hour

Benefits: Accrued Paid Sick Leave
