Captain / Engineer | 100ft New Build Horizon | Florida Based An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Captain / Engineer to join a brand-new 100ft Horizon motor yacht currently in the build phase in Asia. The successful candidate will join ahead of the vessel's anticipated November/December launch and will be involved in the final stages of the build, commissioning, delivery, and setup of the yacht. The vessel will ultimately be based in Florida and will operate as a private yacht with charter registration. The exact cruising program and final crew structure are still being established, and the Captain will be involved in helping build out the crew and operational setup as the program develops. This will be a fully managed yacht with professional shoreside support. The Candidate We are looking for a hands-on Captain / Engineer with strong technical knowledge who is comfortable taking ownership of a new yacht program from the ground up. Previous new-build, commissioning, or warranty experience would be highly beneficial. Experience with Horizon yachts or involvement with a Horizon build would be a strong advantage. The ownership requires a Captain who is exceptionally professional, trustworthy, and discreet. Confidentiality and the ability to operate comfortably within a high-profile environment are essential. Requirements Strong engineering and technical capabilities Captain / Engineer background strongly preferred New-build, commissioning, shipyard, or warranty experience highly advantageous Horizon experience a strong advantage Strong operational and organizational skills Experience building and managing a professional crew Private and/or charter experience Professional, polished, and highly discreet Comfortable taking ownership of a developing yacht program Appropriate licenses and certification for the vessel and flag Program 100ft new-build Horizon Currently under construction in Asia Anticipated launch November/December 2026 Florida based following delivery Fully managed Final cruising program and crew complement to be confirmed This is a unique opportunity for a technically strong Captain to become involved at the beginning of a new program and help establish the yacht, crew, systems, and onboard operation from launch.
