Charge Nurse (RN) LTAC Department Bring your passion to Texas Health where we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Specialty 1304 Pennsylvania Ave. Fort Worth TX 76104 Work hours: Full Time (7P-7A) with weekend and holiday requirements Department highlights Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team Provides leadership and clinical expertise for Texas Health Specialty (10-bed) long term acute care hospital, located within Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, to provide individualized and holistic care for patients with intensive nursing needs. We care for those with medically complex cases such as: Ventilator-dependent patients with rehabilitation potential Multiple trauma patients Patients with complex wound care Multisystem failure patients Here’s What You Need Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma of Nursing. BSN preferred 1 year experience as a registered nurse in acute care setting required 2+ years experience as registered nurse in acute care setting preferred TX Registered Nurse Upon Hire required BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly. ACLS – within 90 days of hire preferred CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 Days preferred. LTAC, Critical care or Progressive Care experience preferred Here’s What You Will Do The Charge Nurse Will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team S upport and actively participate in shared governance/councils Show commitment to developing their individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development. Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Directly assists leadership by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
