Job Details

We’re seeking a hands-on QA Manager to own the overall quality strategy for a complex software platform operating within a highly regulated environment. This person will lead the QA function while remaining technically involved in test strategy, automation, release readiness, and overall product quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall QA strategy, standards, and testing processes across the software development lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor QA and QA Automation Engineers.
• Establish release-quality standards and participate in go/no-go decisions for production releases.
• Drive functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and acceptance testing.
• Develop and expand the organization’s test automation strategy.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Track defects, test coverage, escaped defects, and other quality metrics.
• Work closely with Engineering and Product to improve testability and release quality.
• Maintain testing documentation and evidence required within a regulated/audited environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of QA/Test Engineering experience, including leadership or ownership of QA strategy.
• Strong understanding of the complete software testing lifecycle.
• Experience building or scaling automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Jenkins, or comparable technologies.
• Experience testing APIs, backend systems, and integrated software platforms.
• Experience with performance and security testing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with FedRAMP, NIST, government technology, or other regulated environments is highly preferred.
