Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00 - 18:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Good critical thinking skills Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in cardiovascular surgery. This is an opportunity to work in a high-acuity patient area. The unit features a 1:1 patient ratio. Successful candidates will have critical care experience, and preoperative experience is a plus. Skills needed include excellent documentation and communication abilities. Candidates must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Procedures performed on the unit include large-bore IV starts, skin assessments, and medication administration. Additional duties involve assisting with arterial lines, central lines, and epidural placements. Transporting patients to the operating room and assisting with induction/intubation and positioning are also required. This role requires a commitment to high-quality patient care and safety.
