Direct Marketing Coordinator

Location: NRA Headquarters, on-site

SUMMARY: Coordinates various direct marketing functions involving Membership acquisition, membership retention, and fund raising with outside agencies. In addition, the Coordinator will assist with the approval process for direct mail and web based solicitations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Coordinate the production aspects of direct marketing with outside promotion agencies in support of the Senior Manager of Operations.
 Coordinate the production process by routing to appropriate staff and prioritizing the direct mail schedule to include, but not limited to the following: proofing of artwork, letter and reply mattes, bluelines, personalization, and insertion.
 Coordinate the renewal statement mailings.
 Coordinate EPL and other invoice mailings.
 Create and maintain a filing system for direct marketing approvals to include maintenance and updates for various project report spreadsheets. Create and maintain a filing system for all sample direct mail to include email promotions, renewals and EPL invoices.
 Verify phone numbers are active on all direct mail packages.
 Input Business Reply Mail and Renewal postage usage on a monthly basis.
 Review and code billing invoices from appropriate vendors relating to direct mail projects.
 Track project budgets and changes to produce monthly project upload report to Finance.
 Participate in and coordinate website testing.
 Other duties as assigned.

SCOPE: Under minimal supervision, handle a high volume of work that is deadline-sensitive. Extensive contact with NRA management, staff and external vendors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in either Business Administration (or related field) or equivalent work experience. At least three years experience in membership development, direct marketing and telemarketing promotion, advertising, and quality control functions is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Word processing (Word and Excel) experience required. Good filing, grammar, punctuation and editing skills a must, as is a professional phone manner. Strong organizational and follow-through abilities; strong attention to detail and process flow; ability to work in a high pressure environment; ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information; ability to work well in a team oriented environment; Ability to organize, administrate, coordinate mailings (several projects simultaneously), as well as assure quality at every aspect of production, processing, and subsequent fulfillment.
