Role And Responsibilities The Wound Ostomy Nurse provides clinical expertise and consultation for patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and moisture-related skin injuries. Responsibilities include direct patient care, clinical consultation, education, research, and administration. They deliver inpatient services across hospital departments, including the Emergency Department and specialized wound/ostomy clinics. Role And Responsibilities The Wound Ostomy Nurse provides clinical expertise and consultation for patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and moisture-related skin injuries. Responsibilities include direct patient care, clinical consultation, education, research, and administration. They deliver inpatient services across hospital departments, including the Emergency Department and specialized wound/ostomy clinics. Qualifications And Skills Current Texas Registered Nurse License and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience; WOCNCB certification. Key Duties Serve as a clinical resource and guide for wound, ostomy, and skin injury management. Participate in patient care, education, and clinical research.
