Distribution Specialist (Pearland Area)

Memorial Hermann seeks a Distribution Specialist to manage timely order fulfillment from the Consolidated Service Center (CSC) to our acute care hospitals and other entities. This role involves operating material handling equipment, radio frequency units, ring scanners, voice picking units, and utilizing our warehouse management system (WMS) to pick orders. Automated robots (AMRs) are used to pick orders from low unit of measure areas. The distribution specialist works with various departments within the CSC to resolve customer order shipment issues. The position reports to the Order Fulfillment Manager. Location Consolidated Service Center – Pearland area Shift / Hours Mon – Thurs, 3:00 pm to Finish; Sunday, 2:00 pm to Finish Desired Skill Sets Forklift and cherry picker experience Minimum Qualifications High‑school diploma or GED preferred Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification preferred One (1) year of order fulfillment experience required Prior experience operating and maintaining forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other electric material handling equipment Excellent organizational and time‑management skills Principal Accountabilities Accurately pick customer orders using WMS, robotics, and/or MHE to complete multiple orders. Sort totes and cases of cardboard boxes or shipping containers by scanning, retrieving, and placing orders on pallets. Utilize MHE to move all outbound customer orders to the shipping dock area. Perform order induction activities for low unit of measure robotic picking activities. Resolve any order errors prior to shipment. Prepare, shrink‑wrap, and load pallets onto delivery trucks for shipment. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends. Enforce and practice safety rules to maintain a safe working environment.
