This position comes with a $5,000.00 sign on bonus for eligible candidates!!! FT Flex (72 hours per pay) MRI Technologist Newark - Helen F. Graham Center 3 - 12hr shifts per week May rotate to all CCIS locations when needed. Shift Hours: Dayshift - 8:30a - 9p Other hours as needed. Wednesday - Friday Responsibilities: • Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of MRI units, radiology supported computer systems and CD burners. • Performs MRI procedures and quality control as defined by departmental protocols. • Performs MRI safety screenings for patients and researches implanted devices prior to scanning. • Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses. Complies with Joint Commission regulations. • Completes all technical assigned imaging and non-imaging procedures in the designated scheduled times. • Enters accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems. • Assist with the coordination of workflow and patient care activities. • Obtain clinical history regarding reason for examination and obtains appropriate consent. • Verifies insurance pre-authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning patient. • Maintains patient confidentially. • Uses 2 patient identifiers at all times. • Demonstrates ability to obtain IV access. • Ability to assess patient for adverse reactions and/or changes in patient status. • Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of contrast media injectors. • Demonstrates knowledge and ability to perform i-STAT testing and accurate calculation of GFR following established departmental policies and procedures. Job Requirements: MR Technologist—experience required. ARRT Registered Technologist required. Cerner training required. Soarian training required. ARRT Advanced MRI Certification required within 2 years of hire. Excellent customer service/telephone skills required. Flexibility in hours is required. Flexibility in duties is required. Ability to work independently. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
