Emergency Department Registered Nurse

What You'll Do

• The ER RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, supervising, and evaluating the nursing care of patients.
• Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity levels
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patient conditions, responses to treatment, and clinical outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Operate and maintain emergency department equipment while ensuring patient safety and quality standards are met
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies, trauma situations, and critical care needs in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and nursing documentation
• Advocate for patients and support a culture of compassionate, patient-centered care
• Adhere to all hospital policies, regulatory requirements, infection prevention standards, and nursing best practices
• Correlate the nursing process with the medical plan of care and organizational policies to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated patient care

What We're Looking For

• Experience with standard nursing and medical equipment
• Strong communication skills and English proficiency
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment

Education & Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
• 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse required
• 1+ year of Emergency Department or related specialty experience preferred
• Current New Mexico RN license (or compact state license) required
• BLS certification within 6 weeks of hire
• ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC certification required within 90 days of employment
