About the Position

Opportunity:

Interventional Radiology RN

Job Details:

• Work in an Interventional Radiology unit on the 1st floor of the main building
• Day shift staffing includes 3-4 Techs, 3-4 RNs, and 1 Scheduler/Coordinator
• Night shift consists of on-call coverage
• 1-2 nights of call required per week
• 1 weekend of call required every 4-5 weekends
• Patient ratios vary depending on type of IR procedure performed
• Critical care experience required
• Procedural area experience required
• Moderate sedation experience required
• PALS certification preferred
• Experience with Discovery 740 IGS equipment
• EMR system used is Meditech; experience preferred
• RNs are not required to scrub cases
• Typical procedures include biopsies, drain insertion, angiograms, peripheral vascular procedures, paracenteses, thoracentesis, line placement, and assisting with CT, MRI, and myelograms
• Floating is unlikely but may assist in CT, MRI, or Radiology as needed
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Ideal candidate is outgoing, a self-starter, team-oriented, and maintains a positive personality
